GENERATIONS

Psalm 145:4 (NIV)

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

Sister-friends, our influence is so vital, not just for the generations now, but for those yet to be born! This message will challenge our American mindset. Our life is truly not our own when we serve Jesus as our King. It’s the call to leave a legacy for the generation’s sake.

We must live to Influence the Generations, instead of dying to Impress them!

G.R.I.T.S.

Paul beckons us in Galatians 5:25 to “be people who live by the Spirit.”

The challenge for the sisterhood is to be Girls Raised in the Spirit (GRITS). There is a big difference in being super spiritual and walking in the supernatural.

There are FOUR strategic keys to being a Girl Raised in the Spirit:

1.SHOW UP-All that God needs is all that you have.

2.STEP UP-Stay in Step with the Spirit.

3.SUIT UP-Get yourself dressed.

4.STAND UP-Take your Position.

she is strong

Psalm 46:5 (NIV)

“ God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.”

“Strong women: May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. “Unknown

The message is clearly stated to the Generations that in our weakness – HE IS STRONG! When God resides in the midst of who we are as HIS daughters, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

sisterhood

Sisterhood is often defined as “an association, society or community of women linked by a common interest.” Amazing things happen when women UNITE with JESUS as our common bond. It becomes a super-natural movement of sisterhood that can bring freedom to entire generations!

When our focus revolves around building a multi-cultural and multi-generational Sisterhood movement, we begin to influence generations to love, serve and obey Jesus. It will change the course of history!

I miss the mark more than I make the mark, but all God asks is that I PRESS towards the Mark!

It’s dangerous to define yourself by the world’s definition and standards of beauty. We often play the comparison game of our lives, our looks and our loves. Compare and compete, live in defeat!

True beauty develops throughout each season of our lives — it’s an inside out process. We were created by God to be HIS image bearers! This topic challenges the sisterhood to alter the Generational Spiritual DNA.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP)

“11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. (PROCESS) He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

all things beautiful

Faith unlocks the flow of God’s favor, resulting in a future that defies today’s impossibilities. A powerful message is conveyed in 2 Kings, Chapter 4, about the desperate faith of a widow fighting to save her children. This story will guide us, as believers, about the ‘mentoring’ aspect of mothering. Life is a journey of constantly pouring into those who will follow and do greater exploits than those before.

Conflict can sometimes bring about situations and circumstances in our lives that can result in becoming a “better believer” or a “bitter believer.” So many times, life really doesn't look the way we planned. Eventually, the overwhelming stress of juggling the many roles, trying to "do it all," and meeting unrealistic expectations, can get the best of us. The challenge is allowing ourselves to become better even in the hard places.

Romans 8:26-28 (NIV)

“26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
